A Fabulous Cabin

Date of Stay: May 27, 2016
This was a fabulous cabin with all the amenities of home. It was beautifully decorated and provided everything that was needed. There were 6 adults and 3 children and the bedroom with the 3 beds and toys was just great for them. Everyone enjoyed playing pool and of course the hot tub was wonderful after a long day of sight seeing. Every morning and evening we saw deer on our way up and down the mountain from the cabin. It was really close to all the things we wanted to do and see. We all hated that we had to leave; but hope to come back and enjoy it again!

Great place to stay near Lead!

Date of Stay: Nov 23, 2016
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Snowy Bluff cabin. This remote location was perfect for our family who enjoys hiking through the woods. Our only neighbors were the white tail does and bucks that walked through the yard. Close location to Lead was nice for groceries. The cabin was nicely equipped. Our grown children thought it was a great place to meet. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!

Beautiful Mountainside Property

Date of Stay: Jul 27, 2016
Had a wonderful time starting with the switchback drive up to the property (would suggest SUV or 4x4). The kids loved the drive up to and down from the property. There was plenty of wildlife too! Everything was clean/well appointed and we all loved the pool table and hot tub. Breakfast out on the deck overlooking the valley below was another highlight! The property was remote enough to give us the privacy we wanted, yet close enough to town for access to necessities and attractions. We had a flight cancellation at the beginning of our trip and Jeanine was extremely understanding and helpful. She worked with us and she made sure we had the full week we had planned on. The property was very spacious and we could have accommodated another family of 5 easily. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this property to friends and family!

Great Place To Stay!

Date of Stay: Jan 20, 2016
We had a group of 6 that went for snowmobiling and had a wonderful time. Trail was close and accessible all but one day as Terry Peak closed it for cross county skiing. Not a problem as Rec Springs and Trails Head were close. It was great to have a hot tub to soak in at night as well as a building to store the sleds. We had a 23 foot trailer and managed just fine with parking and had room for a pickup with a two place. This was our first time staying in a cabin versus a hotel and we preferred the cabin and plan to stay again next year. Owners were great to work with and very friendly and helpful.

2013 SD Family Vacation

There were 7 of us coming from Indiana to SD. Only 3 of us had ever been there before. We had not wanted to stay in a hotel so we checked out a rental property that was listed as being totally secluded and high in the Black Hills, but centrally located to all of the sites of interest. This property actually slept 12 so we had plenty of room and individual privacy when needed. Three levels allowed the young people to take over the basement level, which also had the pool table, fuseball table and hot tub. The upper deck provided plenty of seating space to appreciate the beautiful view and sounds of the wind speaking through the ponderosa pines; which is a magnificent sound. Just down the lane was a deer feeding stand so we were constantly in the company of the local wildlife. One morning my husband even caught sight of a doe grazing on some grass just outside our bedroom window. Another morning our daughter in law (a very early riser) was out on the deck and heard an elk across the valley. Also, on one trip back up the mountain our granddaughter spotted an elk grazing on a hillside. The cabin had everything we could need for a wonderful week long vacation; washer and dryer, plenty of couches, all the kitchen necessities, fantastic cathedral ceilings in the great room with full windows to the ceiling overlooking the majestic Black Hills, with open concept dining and kitchen area. Flat screen TV's abounded with Direct TV and all the movie channels you could want. The owners of this property certainly were honed in on making their guests happy and satisfied. The decorating theme gave us a glimpse of the Black Hills area of long ago, which we all appreciated. We would highly recommend this property as a vacation destination, and the owners were very gracious and informative every time we conversed. The entire process to rent the property was very easy. After our arrival the owners even checked on us with a call to make sure everything was ok and to our satisfaction. Hopefully we can return to Snowy Bluffs in the future, it is definitely top on our list.

What a wonderful getaway with all the nature you can handle! TONS of room for our party and guests. Comfortable beds, open and spacious floor plan, and absolutely loved the hot tub and it's vew! The house was spotless upon arrival and the owners were awesome to work with, they were even flexible enough to let us extend our stay! It is located at the very top of the mountain, so the road up there takes a while, but is so worth it! I would much rather have a longer road for a better view! My favorite part was the deer and the little chipmonks playing outback every morning! I would reccommend this place to anyone! LOVED IT!

Beautiful Home and Scenery

We were there for the 2011 Sturgis Bike Rally and were on motorcycles, although I had been advised about the road leading to the home (gravel/switchbacks) it was not as bad as I thought it would be. And once we reached the home, it was more than worth traveling that road!! The house is very spacious, beautiful, peaceful and well lit with natural lighting. It is an open floor plan with extremely high ceilings and lighting. It provides a great view from the top deck, the lower deck or any of the multiple windows you want to look out! The house is well kept and was clean upon our arrival. We loved the inside of the house as much as the view! It was more than big enough for our party of 8 (but only 4 of us made it there). I would recommend this home to ANYONE and EVERYONE!!

Michigan Travelers Great Place in the Woods

We just returned from a stay at Snowy Bluff. There were 11 in our group (3 families). We especially enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. There were plenty of dishes/pans etc as we cooked in several nights. The cabin was up a narrow twisty road which just added to the adventure. We visited the usual tourist places but also the waterpark in Spearfish, kids really enjoyed this. We would highly recommend Snowy Bluff for a peaceful getaway vacation.

Great views and wildlife make this a true retreat. The hot tub was great to relax in after a day of sightseeing. Plenty of room for the 6 adults and 4 kids we had. It was great to be able to stay in and eat, rather than have to gather everybody up for a trip to a restaurant. We were happy that the furnishings were kid-friendly. Our kids really enjoyed nature walks and playing games at the cabin. We plan to return in the future.

3 Couples and a few drop by visitors stayed at the beautiful cabin in the Black Hills of South Dakota!!!! It was wonderful. Had everything you need for a relaxing vacation, just bring food and drinks and your set!!! Views are beautiful, quiet atmosphere, trails for ATV/Motorcycles, hot tub, pool table, foosball, and satellite TV!!! What more could you ask for in a cabin in the Hills??? I will definately stay again and highly recommend this house!

My friends and I wouldn't have spent our Labor Day weekend anywhere else than at Snowy Bluffs. The road to the cabin was quite the adventure but it was definitely worth it! The cabin is clean, comfortable, and a great place to hang out with some friends. The view was amazing and the privacy was a nice touch. The owners are friendly and are very flexible.  Overall this was a great time and my friends and I would definitely love to revisit.

We loved this cabin. Location was perfect! It was terrific with both families and kids. We snowboarded and sledded around the house and went down the road and sledded as well. We celebrated Christmas here and spent much needed family time. This cabin is fantastic!

Very beautiful home. We loved everything about it:) Our favorite part was sitting around and hanging with great friends. The hot tub was very relaxing and stayed warm while we sat in it for hours. We loved the switchback road to get up here. The boys felt like they were teenagers again.  5 STARS!!  Wish we had more time to spend here and explore.
